Notes: REG-51383 was created by the famous biotechnologist Doctor Montague to host the (still-functional) brain of a deceased hunter known as Gradlein. Similar to YN-0117 (Elenor), the unit was designed to function as a ranger, and is therefore focused more on ranged-combat. Unlike Elenor, though, REG-51383 was built for offense rather than defense. The reason behind the scientist's decision to use a ranger model to host a hunter's brain is still unknown.

Current status:

Armaments:
  • Crush Bullet, shotgun, short to medium range mob control

  • Inferno Bazooka, long range single target elimination

  • Photon Launcher, long range multiple (packed) target elimination

  • Kaladbolg, melee combat

De Rol Le

"WARNING! WARNING! HOSTILE CREATURE APPROACHING!"
Gradlein sighed. After hearing the voice for the nth time, frankly, he was starting to get pissed. When I see Dr. Montague, I'll make sure he gets to remove this warning device. Or maybe just replace this with a few beeps. Anything to remove that damn voice!
He zoomed his main camera to the location of the creature in the radar.
"Hmm? Didn't I kill this thing off before? No matter, this will be a piece of cake."

He waited patiently for the creature to get within range. As soon as it was near, he fired at it using his mechguns. Miss, miss, miss, miss. Thinking that it was still out of range, he waited for it to get a bit closer before firing another barrage of bullets. Again, miss, miss, miss, miss. I don't believe this...I should be used to ranged combat by n-... Wham! One of the creature's tentacles hit him. Although he didn't feel anything, he was sure he got damaged pretty badly.
"54.6% DAMAGE SUSTAINED!," the voice confirmed for him.
Ooooh...not again....
Gradlein put the mechguns back in its holsters and pulled out his dim brand.

Melee combat was his forte. He evaded the first waves of attack then rolled out of the way as soon as the creature lounged at him. While the creature was stuck at the ramp, the ranger took this chance to hit it a few times. He also made sure to avoid the tentacles that the creature was flinging at him. The creature managed to free itself from the ramp and continue its attacks. The second time around, Gradlein destroyed the armor covering its head. The third was its last.

The beginning of a new journey

"Hmm...this will take getting used to," commented Gradlein as he took his first step as an android. He looked around, only to be disappointed that Dr. Montague was nowhere in sight. He wanted to thank him for giving him a second chance at life.
The lab was dark and silent. A sign that the scientist and his android left for already quite some time. As he struggled to master moving around, he finds an open pipe. Even with the possibility of danger at the the other end, he lets his curiosity take the better of him. Thinking that the pipe may lead to the scientist's whereabouts, he gets in and finds himself in a very familiar place. He was back in Pioneer 2.
